Sequencing and interval planning · recording each step against a baseline · judging attribution
Dr. Ke He is Deputy Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital and head of its skin and laser aesthetic service — and she is the lead physician of this site. A core specialist formerly at the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Department of Xinqiao Hospital, affiliated with Army Medical University, she has worked on the clinical front line in skin laser and injectable aesthetics for more than 20 years, serving over ten thousand patients.
On this review her part is the interval and the record. She sets the interval against what was done and what the tissue needs, keeps standardised photographs at each step so that a result can be compared with the one before it, and treats the result of each step as information that should change the next one. Where a programme has been fixed in advance regardless of the response, she says so, because a sequence that cannot be revised has given up the advantage it had over treating everything at once.

A programme you cannot revise is not a sequence
The advantage of sequencing over combining is that each step informs the next. That advantage exists only if the result of each step is judged properly and the plan is allowed to change. A fixed schedule followed regardless of the response is a package spread over months — and describing it as a sequence borrows an argument it has not earned.
